We are currently seeking a Paid Social Media Manager to join our dedicated client-facing team working across our Content, Platforms and Performance service pillars. You’ll be responsible for delivering paid media services across some of our key clients and will have a great understanding of media strategy and social advertising. You will work closely with the producers to set and deliver social paid advertising strategies that align closely with the key social and business objectives of our clients.

This role is crucial – your work is what makes sure the brilliant content created by the rest of the agency gets seen by the right people at the right times. All in all, it’s a pretty demanding, fast-paced but extremely rewarding position.



You will take the lead on all things paid social within the agency, this will involve developing media plans that can align with clients business aims and creating a joined-up marketing strategy. You will work across social platforms ( Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Linkedin etc ) creating and implementing high quality paid social campaigns. The role will involve plenty of client facing, helping clients understand how paid social campaigns can work for them, you will also be involved in analysis and reporting, helping them understand what they can do to improve performance.

Candidates should come from an agency background, experience working on paid social strategy is a must, as is the confidence to work closely with clients. Candidates should have a solid understanding of social media spend activity and budgeting, how to maximise cost-effectiveness and spending allocations to create highly effective paid social campaigns.

  • In-depth knowledge of the technologies and processes involved in running Paid Social campaigns (e.g. Pulsar, Brandwatch, SimilarWeb, Hitwise, Buzzsumo etc)
  • A high understanding of Facebook / Twitter Ads Manager, Google Analytics & tag manager and implementing tracking plans. Additional understanding of web analytics tools (such as Omniture, WebTrends, and Coremetrics) and online advertising tools (like AdWords DART/DoubleClick, Atlas).
  • Building conversion-led campaigns that will increase brand awareness, generate leads and drive engagement across all major social channels
  • Monitoring, analysing and managing paid social activity continuously optimizing campaigns (including A/B testing of ad audiences)
  • Generating ROI reports for continuous optimisation and ongoing success
  • Build & manage targeted audiences & advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Content discovery platforms & Adwords.
  • Build & implement tracking, data capture & measurement plans – implementing GA tracking, UTM frameworks, Facebook pixel, Facebook custom audiences
  • Support client relationships, including participating in client calls to discuss strategy and performance
  • Analytical Mind – figuring out the best way to achieve client objectives takes creativity, problem problem-solving evaluation of results. An analytical way of thinking means you can navigate the choices logically and systematically, testing different approaches and comparing the outcomes and adjusting accordingly.
  • Confident with Numbers & Spreadsheets – social media advertising is a data-driven pursuit. You must be happy with looking at a table of figures and be able to glean insights from what you see.
  • Passion for Learning – social media is a fast-moving industry and social advertising even more so. Products change and adapt weekly and you must be happy with keeping up to date with new changes and learning about how they may impact our output.
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools, such as Google Data Studio and Tableau.

  • Ability to work independently, quickly, and thoroughly to prioritise and complete tasks under multiple deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen are a must, along with the ability to be detail- and deadline-oriented while managing multiple projects.
  • Bags of energy and dedication with a desire to make a real difference.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ agency experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Gravitas and instant credibility internally and externally.
  • Proven track record of presenting to client decision makers.
  • A desire to work in a close-knit, highly successful team with clear accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fluid and fast-paced environment with excellent organisational skills.

Work Environment & Annual Leave

Mediablaze is based at WeWork (Stamford Street, Waterloo, London) – providing a relaxed, flexible and entrepreneurial environment.  The working hours of the agency are 9.30am to 5.30pm (designed to soften the blow of the London commute). On occasion, we dig deep collectively to meet a deadline or close an exciting new opportunity, but we don’t make a habit of it – but with plenty of coffee, tea, snack and beer available it’s easy to go that extra mile with a passionate team of like-minded individuals.

The role is given 25 days per annum of annual leave, including the closed office days between Christmas / New Year and excluding UK Public Holidays. This allowance runs to the calendar year and is pro rata’d for mid-term appointments. An additional day is granted for each completed year of service (up to a total cap of 28 days per annum).
